Colts 2010 53-Man Roster Prediction

Thomas at the rookie camp

Kevin Thomas at the rookie camp

This was extremely difficult to try and predict. For starters nobody has any idea what’s going on with Kevin Thomas. He appeared to have suffered a season ending knee injury a few months ago, but is now on the active roster. He was recently seen at training camp in high spirits signing autographs and had no knee brace and wasn’t limping or showing any¬†favoritism¬†to the injured leg. He has said he’s still doing rehab and that it’s getting better and better every day. Reports like that don’t sound to me like somebody who will be missing the entire season. Actually, on the contrary, those are typically things you hear about somebody who is aiming to be ready to play by the regular season. I don’t think that’s the case with Thomas by any means but it certainly makes me optimistic enough to think that we could have him ready to go before the end of the year. Continue reading

Friday 5 – Reasons to Watch the Winter Olympics

Okay, I’m going to be honest, this isn’t exactly the top five reasons to watch the Winter Olympics. It’s more so of a list for the top five things to look at while watching the Winter Olympics. In short this is a cop-out Friday 5, where I’m listing the five best looking female athletes that will be competing in the Winter Olympics this year.

The Honorable Mention for this one goes to Hilary Knight of the United States Women’s Hockey Team. Here’s a picture of her, and the top five after the jump:

Shaun Ellis Fined $10,000

As a followup to the piece that Classic wrote earlier, I’ve decided to give a little bit of an update on the Shaun Ellis “snow boulder” situation, as deemed by Classic. Just to bring you up to speed, here is another look at the video:

Earlier today Ellis, defensive captain of the New York Jets, was fined ten big ones for the incident. I think this is a little harsh considering it’s just some snow. Classic and I talked about this for a while last night and both of us found the video hilarious and that we didn’t think he should be fined at all for it. I believe an exact quote from that conversation would be “I would have been thrilled if it were me he hit.”

Jets head coach, Eric Mangini, had a different view on the situation all together saying that he thought the “situation in the stadium in general was not a very safe situation for anybody involved.” He went on to say “we thought that there could’ve been more done to prevent what was happening in terms of the safety from snowballs coming down.”

Ellis basically said that it was all in good fun and that there was no malicious intent. Unfortunately for Ellis, we all know what the N.F.L. stands for: the No Fun League. So even though he was just having fun, he’s going to get fined.

To learn more about the situation, I recommend reading this.

Let us know what you think about the fine in this poll:
