2009 NFL Schedules to be Released

As most of you know, I am trying to become a baseball fan this year but my first and truest love will always be football. Therefore there are a few events throughout the NFL offseason that I will not be distracted from by baseball or any other sport. A few of these events are the NFL Combine, the NFL Draft, the first weekend of free agency and a few others. One of these other events is the day that I get to find out when my Colts get their BYE week, who they will be playing in which weeks, and when they play at home and on the road against each of their divisional opponents. In short the NFL will announce the 2009 NFL schedule tomorrow at 7 PM ET. Continue reading

Terrell Owens Released

ESPN is just reporting that Terrell Owens has been released from the Dallas Cowboys earlier tonight. Much more coming on this, I’m sure.  ESPN.com now has it as their front page.

When Sad Things Need To Be Done

Things like showing Phillip Fulmer the door, and now things like saying goodbye to Marvin Harrison.

According to Adam Schefter, a writer for NFL.com, Marvin Harrison will be let go by my Colts here within the next few days. Harrison who will be 37 by the time the 2009 regular season starts will go down as one of the greatest wide receivers of all time. However he would also be getting paid 13.4 million dollars this year and with his significantly decreased productivity over the past couple years makes it hard to justify spending that much money on him.
