Bombshell

I considered not posting about this until tomorrow.  I had every intention of putting up the third Rookie Review tonight but then word came down that Lane Kiffin was bolting from Tennessee to Southern California.

I’m just shocked that this happened.  Lane Kiffin had me believing that he actually cared about Tennessee and about Tennessee football.  Obviously, he is a liar.  He lied to recruits, he lied to their parents, he lied to fans, he lied to everyone.  I hope he never wins another football game again.  Ever.

There Is Nothing Else Like It.

The game day experience in Knoxville is unparalleled by any other team in the country. From the atmosphere to the traditions, it’s all phenomenal. The Vol Walk, Saluting the Hill, Running Through the T, well over 100,000 fans going crazy and singing Rocky Top, the Pride of the Southland Band, tailgating, the first-rate ladies, and most importantly of all watching some great football being played.

College Football Time!

Last year at this time, I was in St. Louis watching my Missouri Tigers win a shootout against Illinois and Weller was at home keeping you updated with some notes on the early action.   This year, the roles are reversed as I’m sitting in my living room waiting for the Tennessee-Western Kentucky game to start while Weller is at Neyland Stadium.  Apparently he already has a Lane Kiffin bobblehead, but I won’t steal all of his thunder.

We’ve already had a few games on Thursday night; both of them were bitterly disappointing.  I’m hoping the Oklahoma St.-Georgia game and the Virginia Tech-Alabama games will live up to the hype.  I’m going to take both SEC teams in those matchups.
