Answer: A safety, a two-point conversion, and a PAT return.

August 28, 2008:

Question: What is the most number of games an NFL team can win and not make the playoffs?

Answer: An NFL team can go 14-2 and not make the playoffs, and amazingly you can have a 14-2 team miss the playoffs while a 3-13 team in the same conference does make the playoffs.

August 27, 2008:

Question: What is the fewest number of games an NFL team can win and still make the playoffs?

Answer: An NFL team can go 3-13 and still make the playoffs.

August 26, 2008:

Question: How many players in NBA history have had a free throw percentage of 90% or higher in playoff games throughout their career? Who are the players?

Answer: There have been seven: Mark Price, Calvin Murphy, Bill Sharman, Kiki Vandeweghe, Hersey Hawkins, Peja Stojakovic, and Steve Nash, who has made exactly 90% of his playoff free throws, making 324 of 360.

August 25, 2008:

Question: There have been 6 main techniques used through out the course of history as the strategy for high jump developed and evolved, what are they and what order did they come in?

Answer: Originally people went with a straight on approach and just tried to jump over the bar, then people got the idea to run diagonally at the bar a scissor jump over the bar throwing one leg over the bar and then the other, after this the Eastern Cut-Off became popular, which is very similar to the scissor jump but laying down your back in mid air to be parallel to the ground, after this was the Western Roll, where the person would jump off of their inside foot and throwing their outside shoulder and leg over the bar so that they went over the bar side ways and looking like they were rolling over it in mid air, after that was the Straddle Technique which was the same as the Western Roll but going over the bar belly-down rather than sideways, finally Fosbury came along and went over the bar completely backward, developing the Fosbury Flop which is the technique that is still used today.

August 22, 2008:

Question: Who is the oldest person to ever compete in the Olympics and how old were they?

Answer: The oldest person to ever compete in the Olympics is Oscar Swahn, a shooter from Sweden. In the 1920 Summer Olympics, Swahn ws exactly 72 years, 9 months, 3 weeks and 4 days old at the Opening Ceremonies. In his Olympic career Swahn won 6 medals, 3 golds, 1 silver and 2 bronze. All of Swahn’s medals came in the running target competitions. His Silver medal which was the only medal he won in 1920, which also makes him the oldest person to ever win an Olympic Medal, was in running target – double shot – team. Swahn died about six and a half years later at the age of 79.

August 21, 2008:

Question: Who is the youngest person to ever compete in the Olympics and how old were they?

Answer: Dimitrios Loundras, born Spetember 6, 1885 was exactly 10 years and 7 months old on the day of the opening ceremonies for the 1896 Summer Olympics. Loundras was a gymnast on the parallel bars team, which won bronze in that Olympics, thus he is also the youngest person to ever win an Olympic medal.

August 20, 2008:

Question: Who kicked the longest punt in NFL history, how far was it, and as what point in his career did he accomplish this?

Answer: Steve O’Neal, 98 yards, and it was in his rookie season, week 2.
