WMD – March Madness

No, not Weapons of Mass Destruction. This obviously stands for Weller’s Musing and Divination. I have no idea if this will become a frequent type of post or not, but this one will be similar to the Bracketology that Joe Lunardi does for ESPN. And of course by similar, I mean that I will be doing exactly what he does: predicting the field of 65 and their seedings in each region. Don’t fool yourself though, Mr. Lunardi knows significantly more about college basketball than I do. In fact, I haven’t hardly followed college basketball at all this year but this seemed like a fun idea and thought I’d give it a shot. Feel free to tear it apart: Continue reading

Weller is back

Well as many of you have noticed the amount of material being posted has dropped off significantly these past two weeks. Well the weekend of the Super Bowl couldn’t have really gone any worse for me. Not only did my Colts, that I love so much, lose to the Saints in the Super Bowl itself, but my computer also got a wicked bad virus. Olympic Games

Hello fearless readers.  I have a little bit of time here so I figured I’d leave a little post here letting you all know that we are not dead, we’re just on a hiatus.  Actually, come to think of it, Weller might be dead.  I’m not sure.

As you know, I’m at the Olympics in Vancouver working hard, but having a lot of fun in the process.

I’m staying in the Whistler Village and I’m scheduled to work the Downhill events whenever they actually get started and then I’ll be moved around to the Sliding Center or wherever they need me.  I’ll try to come up with a way to encompass everything that has happened on try to give you a little taste of what it’s like to work at the Olympic Games but right now it’s just too hard to try and cover everything.

Anyway, assuming Weller isn’t dead, we’ll be back in full force soon.  If he is dead then I’ll be back at the beginning of March.

2010 NFL Mock Draft XIV (02/03)

I know it’s National Signing Day today, but I’m putting up a mock draft to give you a small side of NFL with your huge main course of NCAA football. Like I mentioned last time, I will be taking into account the input of the commenters for this one, and my next one will be more than just the first round. I know you’re excited. I will again be providing my reasoning and thoughts on some of the picks at the bottom after the actual mock itself. To see how things have progressed with my 2010 mock drafts take a look back at IIIIIIIVVVI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, and XIII. Here is the fourteenth installment: Continue reading
