2010 NFL Mock Draft X (12/30)

It’s been almost three weeks since my last mock draft. I realize that I had said I was going to start trying to do them every week but when the holiday season started it got a little difficult. Like last time I will be taking into account what the readers commented on with the last mock draft. As usual, I will be determining my draft order based off of Bryan’s awesome, weekly post that shows exactly what the draft order would be if the season were to end today. To see how things have progressed with my 2010 mock drafts take a look back at IIIIIIIVVVI, VII, VIII and IX. Here is the tenth installment: Continue reading

Draft Update – Week 16

Well, I’m home for the holidays.  That means no internet connection and very little if any phone service.  Southeast Missouri is a like a bomb shelter for these sorts of things.  Anyway, I’ve stolen someone else’s connection just long enough to bring you the penultimate Draft Update of the year.

Here’s the deal:  If the Rams lose, we get the top pick in every round.  If we win (HA) and the Lions lose, it will come down to opponent’s winning percentage, which for the moment, gives the Lions the edge.  That can and will certainly change after next week’s round of games.  Ndamukong Suh…get your blue and gold ready.

Click here to see how things have changed since last week.

What does your team need to do to make the playoffs?

This post will be similar to all of the other posts I have done on this very topic. The only difference for this one is that I will have four categories (AI, COD, HAC, AO) instead of six. But I will still be laying out for each team what they need to do to make the playoffs, clinch their division, get a first-round bye, and/or get the #1 seed in their conference. First let’s layout what the NFL playoffs would look like if the season ended right now. Continue reading

18 to 88 Links

A great website that I want to share a few quick links from:

This one is a reasonable look/reaction at the Colts deciding to rest starters:

This one is looking the the myth about the Chargers “owning” the Colts:

This one, I think I already linked to but is a great opinion about if the Colts should rest starters or not (it was written well before the decision was actually ever made.)

Friday 5 – Saturday Edition! (Again)

Exactly three months ago -on September 26- Bryan did a Friday 5 on Saturday, helping pick up the slack from me being out of town and him not knowing that I wouldn’t be able to do the Friday 5 that week. Well this time around it’s me picking up the slack for Bryan. He went home for the holidays and the internet at his parent’s house is out. I knew this and therefore also knew he wouldn’t be able to write a Friday 5, but give me a break, it was Christmas. I wasn’t about to write a post any longer than the one that I did write.

That means we are having second ever special edition Friday 5, which simply means we didn’t get around to doing it on Friday and thus had to do it on Saturday. This special Saturday edition is going to be the top five NFL games this week based on how much they will have an impact on the playoff picture. Continue reading
