Terrell Owens Signs With Buffalo Bills

It was just announced that Terrell Owens who was released just a few days ago has agreed to a deal with the Buffalo Bills for 6.5 million dollars. It is a one year contract that was announced in a press conference that the Bills had at 6:15 eastern time. The Cowboys, who released T.O. to help with team unity, took a big hit to their salary cap when they released Owens, approximately 9 million dollars. There had been rumors about different places that he might end up, but in all honesty Buffalo was not my guess.

T.O. had 69 catches for 1,052 yards and 10 Touchdowns last season. Lee Evans was the Bills leading receiver last year with 63 catches for 1,017 yards and 3 TDs. He should be able to do even better this year with Owens there to draw more of the defensive attention. This should also help Trent Edwards with only one full year as a starter under his belt, that is of course assuming that T.O. doesn’t get too frustrated with him which we can’t rule out.

The Bills were 22nd in passing offense last year. That should change this year.

  1. As a Bills fan, this is just crazy. I am pumped though, and it’s going to be great to have a guy that can’t really be shut down. Opening up Lee Evans on the other side? Whew, should be a fun offensive year.

  2. Haha, you’ve got to be excited… you only signed him for one year, and T.O. hasn’t managed to tick anyone off in his first year with a team yet so you should be in the clear… and anything that makes life worse for the patriots makes me happy so I have no problem with T.O. in Buffalo.
