NFL Playoffs Seedings

With only the game tonight between the Chargers and Broncos remaining and it being the one regular season game left unplayed, I thought I’d bring everyone up to date  one how the things currently stand.

In the NFC the seedings look like this:

1. New York Giants

2. Carolina Panthers

3. Minnesota Vikings

4. Arizona Cardinals

5. Atlanta Falcons

6. Philadelphia Eagles

In the AFC the seedings look like this:

1. Tennessee Titans

2. Pittsburgh Steelers

3. Miami Dolphins

4. Winner of the Denver Broncos @ San Deigo Chargers game (Update: Chargers won)

5. Indianapolis Colts

6. Baltimore Ravens

So what this means is that the Giants, Panthers, Titans and Steelers will all have first round byes. Here are what the wild card matchups would look like:

Colts @ Broncos/Chargers (Update: Chargers won)

Ravens @ Dolphins

Falcons @ Cardinals

Eagles @ Vikings

After the game tonight, I will update this post and I’ll try to have my predictions up by tomorrow.

Here are the dates for the playoff games:

Wild-card games: January 3 & 4

Divisional round games: January 10 & 11

Conference  Championships: January 18

Super Bowl XLIII:  February 1
