Nick Adenhart (1986-2009)
This is unfortunately the first baseball post I have written that doesn’t have some sort of joking nature to it. Hopefully it’s also the last. I don’t know a whole lot about what happened but apparently there was a hit and run car accident last night involving Nick Adenhart, a 22-year-old rookie pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels. The wreck took place after the teams loss to the Oakland Athletics, which I believe was only Adenhart’s fourth career start. Adenhart was taken to the UC-Irvine Medical Center where he died this morning after undergoing surgery just after midnight. (more…)
