Question: What did the Falcons get in return for Brett Favre when they traded him to the Packers? Was it worth it and why?

Answer: The Packers traded their 1992 first round pick (19th overall) to the Falcons, who used the pick to draft Tony Smith, who oddly enough played with Favre at Southern Mississippi. Was it worth it for the Falcons? Well the Falcons head coach at the time, Jarry Glanville, said that it would take a plane crash for him to put Favre into a game. I’m going to go ahead and go out on a limb here and say that was a bad decision. Why? Because Smith started a total of six games in his career while Favre set the record for most consecutive starts by a quarterback at 253, or 275 including playoffs. Favre also has more career rushing yards than Smith, who was a running back.
