I first need to bring to your attention the fact that we are planning our interactive fan mock draft, where we will be looking for you, the readers, to represent your favorite team and make the picks for them. To see what teams have been claimed already and read more about it all just click here.
It’s only been a few days since my last mock draft, but a lot has happened between then and now plus I’m getting ready to go out of town for about ten days so this one will make up for the fact that there won’t be one next week. I bumped it up to four rounds this time. I realize this is rather pointless because the compensatory picks haven’t been distributed yet, but I felt like putting up one more round, so I did. Like last time, I will be taking into account the input of the commenters for this one, and will do the same for the next one. I know you’re excited. I will again be providing my reasoning and thoughts on some of the picks at the bottom, after the actual mock itself. To see how things have progressed with my 2010 mock drafts take a look back at I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, and XV. Here is the sixteenth:

Now for my thoughts.
- Yes, I finally decided to go away from having Eric Berry as the #1 pick. I believe he is the best player in the draft, but if I’m honest with myself about it, a safety going first overall is just not ever going to happen. Instead the Rams take Suh with the first pick. This causes Berry to fall to the Bucs at 3.
- I’m having the Browns go quarterback this time to mix it up a bit. I still really don’t know what to do with this pick and loved it when the Browns fans were duking it out in the comments, debating over what they should do with their first round pick.
- Taylor Mays climbed a little bit higher this time, staying in California, being picked by the 49ers.
- Dan Williams has been slipping down a few draft boards and I would love it if he fell all the way down to the Colts in the actual draft.
- Sean Weatherspoon just barely finds his way back into the first round, getting grabbed by the Saints. He’s another player I’d love to see in Speed Blue next year.
- There was a commenter on the last draft that said the Bucs shouldn’t take an OLB in the third round, so instead I have them taking one in the fourth round. I wonder if the said commenter will find this more acceptable…
- Tim, a Seahawks fan, said last time that he thought they would be drafting an offensive lineman with one of their first three picks, so I had them draft an OT in the first round this time.

Im a steelers fan and i hope your mock is correct . Let us pray.
If the Browns take another Notre Dame QB in the 1st Round, before we have even give our current 1st Round N.D. QB a full season as starter, I will be forced to set my head on fire. Plus, from what i hear, Clausen is a prick.
I like the fact that you don’t posit (speculative) trades, but if both the DTs are gone, Tampa will trade down IMHO.Somebody will want a QB, & want to get ahead of Washington (maybe the Skins themselves will want to go up a pre-emptive notch).
Curran is a WLB & Tampa is very happy with Geno Hayes there. If they replace anyone, it will be Quincy Black at sam, though he improved in his first year starting.Ben Tate would be a much better pick.
Hughes i don’t think can play with his hand down–a 34 OLB.
D. Thomas will never last that long.
If the Rams take another DE in the 3rd round they should be shot for wasting so many previous picks on that position.
I know that the Bills taking an OT at #9 is a foregone conclusion – which one depends on individual preference so I have no problem there. In the 2nd Round however, I look for them to take a NT for their new 3-4 Defense. Either Cody or Cam Thomas. I don’t feel ILB is a priority as Kawika Mitchell is supposed to move inside. 3rd and 4th Rounds look good. Nice job.
