Tonight in the bottom of the second inning in a game against the New York Mets, Matt Wieters hit a two-run, 368-foot shot over the left field wall off of Tim Redding to give the Orioles a 3-1 lead. The Mets never had the lead in this game. My Orioles dominated. It was awesome. Mark this day as the beginning of the rampage that is Matt Wieters. He is poised to take the league by storm. I’m pumped.
Another interesting point from the game tonight is that Nick Markakis went four for four and scored two runs.
Congrats on your first MLB home run, Matt. We’re all excited for what your future holds.
